Mary is survived by her devoted children, Donald Scelzo, Kimberly Stanton and her fiancé Bob Corkery, Donna Bicheler, Karen Blanchette and her husband Ed, Robert Scelzo and his wife Kristie, Mark Scelzo, and Katheryn Scelzo. Mary’s family would also like to acknowledge and give special thanks to the Special Care Unit at the Stephens Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care given to Mary as well as all the support given to her family. Her greatest joy was her family and nothing made her happier than to spend time with her grandchildren and being surrounded by those she loved most. In her leisure time she enjoyed watching old western movies on the television, working on puzzles, playing cards with family and friends, and attending bingo. For nearly ten years she owned and operated the former Colonial Cafe in Norway, Maine. She was an extremely hard worker throughout her life. Mary has been a resident of Maine for the past 40 years. Mary was raised and educated in Woburn and was a member of the 1959 graduating class of St. Longtime Leavitt field hockey coach Wanda Ward-MacLean has been inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Association Hall of Fame.
